This Privacy Policy describes how NetChefs (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use our websites, apps, or related services (the “Service”). California residents should also review disclosures required by law in the sections below.
1. Information we collect
- Information you provide: name, email, phone, event details, messages, account credentials when you register, payment-related information handled by processors, and documents you upload (for example menus or proposals).
- Automatically collected data: device and browser characteristics, approximate location, logs, referral URLs, and cookies or similar technologies where we use them.
- Partner and third-party inputs: chefs, planners, integrations (such as scheduling or CRM tools), analytics, advertising tags (when configured by us), fraud prevention vendors, and payment providers.
2. How we use information
We process personal information to:
- Operate, secure, personalize, and improve the Service;
- Create and manage bookings, inquiries, payouts, invoices, support tickets, and legal records;
- Send service messages, confirmations, OTPs for sign-in where applicable, and (where lawful) marketing you can unsubscribe from;
- Measure effectiveness, troubleshoot, comply with law, enforce our Terms of Service, and defend our rights.
3. Legal bases (where applicable)
Depending on jurisdiction, we rely on necessity for contract performance, legitimate interests balanced against your rights, consent where required, and legal obligation.
4. Sharing
We share information with service providers acting on our instructions (hosting, email, analytics, CRM, calendars, billing, SMS, document generation), Chefs relevant to your request when you authorize it, successors in corporate transactions where permitted, and authorities where required by law. We may also share aggregated or de-identified data that does not reasonably identify you.
5. Retention
We retain data as long as needed for the purposes above, backups, audits, disputes, and statutory record-keeping, then delete or de-identify it according to internal schedules except where longer retention is required by law.
6. Cookies and analytics
Where we deploy cookies, pixels, or similar technologies, choices may be managed through browser settings and, where offered, preference centers. Blocking some cookies may limit features. Our site configuration may inject analytics or ads tags dynamically from admin-managed settings — consult your browser extensions or blocking tools accordingly.
7. Security
We implement technical and organizational measures appropriate to risk, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. International transfers
We may process information in the United States and other countries whose laws differ from yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as contractual clauses permitted by regulators.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on region, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents may request to know, delete (subject to exceptions), correct, and opt out of certain selling/sharing signals if we engage in qualifying activities later. Authorized agents must follow verification steps we specify. We do not discriminate for exercising lawful privacy rights.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
11. Changes
When we materially change this policy, we will post the revised version here and revise the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice.
12. Contact
For privacy inquiries, reach us via the channels provided in transactional or account emails. Questions about contractual terms belong with our Terms of Service.
